As freight and logistics recruitment specialists, Additions Personnel works with businesses and candidates to match them together effectively for long term sustainability and success.

 

Having started in Suffolk focusing on the container haulage sector, we subsequently expanded our scope into the freight-forwarding market working with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and multinational organisations across the UK.

 

Our excellent freight and logistics industry knowledge, proactive networking, and professional yet personable approach has enabled Additions Personnel to establish an exceptional reputation for high-quality recruitment services to both our candidates and clients.

We understand that it is very easy to write a list of ‘buzz’ words on our mission page that may ‘look good’ for marketing purposes. This is not, however, what we are about. We understand that actions speak louder than words, but most importantly… results are everything.

DIRECTOR – DOUG CAMPBELL

Additions Personnel was established by Executive Consultant Doug Campbell, and was inspired by his inherent understanding of people, communications, drive for results, and the rewards that can be gained by bringing together likeminded individuals who share in the same goals, missions, and values.  

​

Before beginning his career in recruitment Doug spent four years working in the banking sector developing his customer-facing skills, professional work ethic, and commercial aptitude. During this time Doug came to understand and appreciate his natural ability for connecting with others and the 

personal enjoyment and satisfaction he gains from delivering a level of service that exceeds his customers' expectations.

Doug found the client-based aspect of his banking work highly rewarding yet also recognised there was an underlying mismatch between his areas of speciality and the requirements of his position as a whole; it was with this realisation he understood the importance to both individual and company of placing the right human resources within the right roles, where their natural skills, talents, and characters could truly excel.

​

As a result of this insight Doug took stock of where his true passion genuinely lies. Reflecting on this, he recognised that his core skillset and motivation was working with people and creating connections that brought success to their businesses and fulfilment to their lives.
